Druids beat Met!
The Ancients threw a spanner in Cardiff Mets Play Off hopes with a 3-1 win over the Students at The Rock. Druids entered the match knowing they had done enough with their win over Llanelli last week to secure their league position for another season. 4 games left with very little to play for you could forgive a sluggish performance? Only the opposite is true as Druids flew out of the starting blocks with a early goal by Jordan Evans in the second minute of play, only 5 minute

Students leave with a point!
Our last home game saw us welcome Cardiff Met back upto The Rock. Met this season have had some very good results including a win against TNS. The build up to that week saw us working hard in training to make sure we where aware of the system they play and movements of there players. Our in depth analysis had given us some key information of certain players and patterns. We started the 1st half well but failed to create any real goal scoring opportunities with there keeper no

Druids' run of bad luck continues
Looking to avoid four successive defeats against the Ancients and exact some revenge for the Europa League Playoff final defeat at The Rock at the end of last season, Met started quickly against the Ancients and had two great chances in the opening exchanges to take the lead. Sam Snaith was the first to cause problems for Druids as the visiting defence made a slack back-pass which Snaith was quickest to react to, but Michael Jones was very quick off his line and threw his bod

DRUIDS QUALIFY FOR THE EUROPA LEAGUE
An outstanding season for The Ancients was capped off yesterday with qualification for the Europa League! Cefn Druids secured the win after James Davies’ first half strike saw off Cardiff Met at the Rock. Davies’ goal capped an excellent first half from the home side, who could well have been further in front were it not for some resolute defending from the visitors, as well as a number of saves from keeper Will Fuller. Met started the game very brightly, with Eliot Evans, Jo

Druids go 5th!
An impressive second half performance powered Cefn Druids to a 3-1 win over Cardiff Met at the Rock. A cagey opening fifteen minutes saw little in the way of goalmouth action. Adam Roscrow’s near post effort on 3’, which was comfortably dealt with by Michael Jones, the best either side mustered until Met took the lead on 18’. A quick break freed Eliot Evans down the right, and his deep cross was met by Jordan Lam who rose tallest to power home the header. The goal woke the ho

Huge point for Druids on the Road!
In a close game at Cyncoed Campus, Cefn Druids managed to take a point after a physical prefromance by both sides. Druids will ponder the opportunity to take all 3 points after Met went down to 10 men in the second half. A tight opening to the game saw few chances of note created, as both defences were on top. Indeed the first clear chance of the game led to the opening goal, Nathan Peate leaping highest to head home a cross. Peate almost doubled the lead six minutes later, v
