League Cup: Druids 3-4 Airbus
Cefn Druids’ winless start to the season continued as they were knocked out for the second season running in extra time by Airbus UK Broughton. The Wingmakers had taken an early two goal lead at the Rock through James Hooper and Leo Riley. Arek Piskorski pulled one back for Druids midway through the first half, before Iwan Cartwright levelled with ten to play. Dean Rittenberg put the Ancients ahead in ET, but Brady McGilloway brought Airbus back on terms, before former druid Lewis Buckley scored in the 119th minute to claim a dramatic win.
