U16s CHAMPIONS OF THE FAW ACADEMY NORTHERN SECTION
Our under 16's have just been crowned champions of the FAW academy north section. The academy cup this year had a brand new format to it, competing were TNS, Llandudno, Airbus UK, GAP Connahs Quay, Bangor City, Rhyl, Porthmadog , Colwyn Bay, Conwy Borough, Bala Town, Newtown, Flint Town Utd, Prestatyn and Caernarfon Town. The Rock hosts local schools tournament
On Thursday the 6th April The Rock hosted the first Cefn Community Council Schools Football Tournament. The day was organised by councillors Ken Bathers and Derek Wright. Former Druids player visits The Rock
Recently we were visited by Bill Roberts who played for Druids in the late forties. Bill is 95 and now lives in Ruabon,having lived and worked in France for 32 years. Bill was born in Plas Bennion in 1922. He was pleased to be able to recognise some old team mates from photographs on the wall of the Legends Lounge,especially that of his best man Bill Meredith.
