JOHN OWEN JOINS THE ANCIENTS
Cefn Druids are pleased to announce the signing of John Owen from Llandudno, the Club has had interest in the forward for some time and has followed his progress since his summer move to the seasiders.
Welsh speaker Owen, from the Porthmadog area spent six years at Bangor City moving on to Porthmadog, Rhyl, Llandudno before a move to Aberystwyth, where he was a prolific goal scorer.
Owen will add some real quality to this Ancients side as they prepare for a Phase 2 battle and the chase for 7th.
Manager Huw Griffiths commented :- "I'm chuffed to sign John. He's someone I've been after for a while and it's great to get the deal done so early in the window. I want to help John fall back in love with football and hopefully get the very best out of him, because he will certainly bring a little more quality to the squad... It's a huge statement for Cefn Druids to sign him (Owen), as much as we aren't doing as well in the league last year, it shows how well we are progressing that we've been able to get him in."
