DRUIDS FINISH STRONG!

Following the news of Bangor City's relegation, and the following permetations for the Europa League play offs - Druids had even more of an incentive to finish strong. A win over Connahs Quay would push druids on the road to a 5th place finish!

Nomads' European qualification was already confirmed after Thursday's licencing decisions.

Matty Owen opened the scoring against his former club, his well-placed low shot from the edge of the box beating John Danby despite the keeper getting a hand to it.

James Davies got the winner on the stroke of half time, beating Mike Pearson with a lovely bit of skill before slotting home.

For Nomads, spells of second half pressure failed to muster a goal, and their night got worse towards the end of the game when Callum Morris was shown a straight red which will mean he is suspended for next week's JD Welsh Cup Final.

The Ancients knew they had done their part and waited eagerly to hear the result from Park Hall, where a 3-3 draw with Met was enough to allow Druids to claim 5th spot, their highest ever top flight finish!
