Following a disappointing result on boxing day, losing 1-0 to Connahs Quay despite applying a huge amount of pressure in the second half against a weakened 10 man Quay. Druids had to pick themselves up to face the opposition again away at the Deeside Stadium.
A strong powerful Quay side were chasing a further 3 points and the chance to show the Ancients the sword once again. An already depleted Druids side were dealt a further blow with a Hesp injury early on forcing Huw to alter his pre match formation.
Druids looked to be trailing in the game, with a number of strong chances for the Nomads - Which finally broke through in the 31st min with a header from Bakare on the goal line, after Michael Wilde hit the crossbar from a Woolfe cross.
The Ancients looked to be suffering the same fate as Boxing Day but hit back quickly with a superb effort by James Davies in the 40th min seeing both sides go level at Half Time.
The second half was a superbly entertaining affair, as both sides threw everything forward creating an open end to end game with plenty of chances for both sides.
Druids will rue a number of clear cut chances, a penalty for Ashy Ruane, looked ready to put Druids ahead but the shot was sent flying above the opposition goal, Jonny Taylor presented with an open goal sent his header bouncing over the cross bar.
Both sides deserved the spoils and will be found disappointed with the reward of a point.
Druids now have 2 hugely important games left in Phase One if they are to secure a top 6 finish.
