Important 3 points secured by Druids!

Druids headed into this fixture riding high after securing a point away against Met last weekend, Barry equally bolstered by their performances against TNS and Bangor so far this season as well as enjoying Kayne Mclaggon's excellent goalscoring form would have relished the chance to pick up another 3 points on the road.

Two equally matched sides resulted in a 0-0 score at the half time whistle (following a disallowed goal for Druids). The first goal came only 7 minutes after both sides were back on the pitch, a fantastic effort by Naim Arsan who reacted quickly to fire in a rebounded shot off the Barry Keeper.

The Druids fans barely had time to retake their seats when Barry responded with an effort from Chris Hugh made it 1-1 the Rock setting up a tense closing period to the game.

Jonny Taylor subbed on for Lewis Buckley quickly found his feet in the game and soon the back of the net with a superb finish making it 2-1. Barry with a number of efforts in the second half came to nothing. The game will stick in the minds of a few Ancient's fan for some of the questionable refereeing decisions which seen Druids pick up 3 yellows.

The win returns Druids to the top 6 ahead of our clash with title holders TNS next week.

Druids would like to thank the superb travelling Barry fans who put on a fantastic display of support for their team for the full 90! Good luck to them for the rest of phase one.
