Tough test against TNS

Druids headed into this fixture already 5th in the league, playing their game in hand - Following a point away at MET and 3 points last Saturday at home to Barry the side could be relaxed as they readied to face the league champions.

Straight away on the teamsheet Druids fans were greeted with a new set up from manager Huw, stalwarts of the Druids defence Hesp and Eckersley were benched and up top Buckley was benched for Arek Piskorski (Who Ancients fans will remember from pre-season fixtures, but who has played most of his football this season for the reserves)

The team changes, created a buzz before kick off and didn't disappoint as Druids looked strong from the off and after 39 mins were rewarded with a goal from Piskorski. The Ancients struggled to settled and similar to Barry the previous Saturday conceded within minutes of scoring, Greg Draper with the goal in 41st min.

1-1 at the half time whistle put smiles on many faces, but a another 45 beckoned and would be a tough ask to defend a point. Druids seemed to tire in the second half, against their fitter opponents and soon conceded again in the 52nd minute to Mullan and then again in the 60th that was retrospectively altered to a Matt Eckersley (sub '58) own goal.

The Full time score of 3-1 to TNS although disappointing shows how this Druids side isn't afraid to play the bigger teams, after taking the goal difference into account Druids still sit 5th above Bala both on 23 points.
