RITTENBERG SIGNS!
Druids are very pleased to announce former Bangor City player Dean Rittenberg has put pen to paper and joined the Ancients for the 2018/19 season.
Dean is an experienced centre forward, arriving in the Welsh Prem in early 2017 from Blackburn Rovers, he progressed through their academy structure from the age of 13 playing for their U18s and U23s, before moving to Bangor city where he proved an invaluable asset in the domestic competition but also in Bangor Europa League matches.
He also enjoyed international experience playing for England up to their U18 level. Last season saw Dean named in the 'WPL Team of the Season' against some tough competition, his tireless work rate and effort in every match being the deciding factor.
Assistant Manager, Jayson Starkey commented :- " We are delighted to welcome Dean to Cefn Druids. He's a player who myself and Huw have admired and when the oppurtunity came for us to bring him to The Rock we got the deal done. Dean has already fitted in really well with the squad and shown some of the qualities we know he has.
Dean played his first game for Druids as a trialist last Wednesday against local side Cefn Albion, bagging a goal in the 4-0 win.
We look forward to seeing Dean in action this season and are sure he will prove a fans favourite!
