Europa League R1 & R2 draw
This morning the Druids delegation returned to the UEFA HQ in Nyon, Switzerland for the Round 1 and 2 Europa League draw.
The first draw pitched the winner of Druids V FK Trakai against FC Irtysh Pavlodar a team from Kazakhstan. They play in the Kazakhstan premier league and have won it five times, the team has competed in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League several times - getting knocked out by Red Star Belgrade in the second qualifying round last season.
The R2 draw then confirmed that the winner of this fixture will then progress to play one of two teams FK Rudar Pljevla of Montenegro or FK Partizan Belgrade of Serbia. Partizan will certainly be a team well known to football fans!
All this allows Druids fans to start dreaming of what could be, but we're sure Huw and the boys will have their minds firmly fixed on the 28th June and the home leg against FK Trakai, who will prove some test.
