SHOWDOWN: DRUIDS V LLANDUDNO

Druids return to The Rock today in a huge fixture against Llandudno.

The Ancients only need one point to secure a top 6th finish for the first time in the clubs history! whereas Llandudno are faced with a straight must win fixture, 3 points and their superior goal difference will see them through to top 6 safety.

John Hughes, Chairman:

"This weekend is the most important in our recent history. To be challenging for a possible European place is testament to all the hard work that has gone into the club this season. Huw has assembled a good squad this season, but it's only a start in a programme of development. We all work hard from players to volunteers. Cefn Druids is a club that is ensuring sustainable success for future years." Jayson Starkey, Assistant Manager:

"The 2017/2018 season so far from a personal view has been very special to myself. Last season saw us make history by finishing 8th in the league something the club had never achieved before. This summer we knew the league would only get stronger and we had to continue to develop both on and off the pitch. As a group we spoke about making sure we all were fully aware of what was expected from each other to make sure we didn’t suffer from “2nd season syndrome” The squad of players we have this season fully deserve all the praise that has been coming there way over recent months. We have played many different systems and asked a lot from them as individuals as well as a group and due to there desire and attitude it is why we are in the position we find ourself going into Saturday’s game. This week we train and prepare as we would for the previous 21 games but everyone is aware of what is at stake."

So come along and support the boys! COME ON DRUIDS!
