Ashley Ruane has returned to Cefn Druids on a deal until the end of the season and is in the frame to make his second debut for the club in Saturday’s match at home to Carmarthen Town.
The striker had been on loan at the club earlier in the season and scored seven goals in all competitions before parent club gap Connah’s Quay recalled him during an injury crisis at the Deeside Stadium.
The 31-year-old is in line to return to the fold for Saturday’s match at The Rock as Druids look to end Phase One of the Dafabet Welsh Premier League on a strong note following Saturday’s 1-0 win at Aberystwyth Town.
Druids manager Huw Griffiths was delighted to capture Ruane’s signature until the end of the season.
He said: “We were disappointed when Ashley was recalled during his loan spell as he had been doing well for us.
“But I am delighted to bring him back and hope he can recreate the form he showed for us earlier in the season.”
