Club appoints Head of Coaching

May 28, 2019

The club is pleased to announce that Jayson Starkey has been appointed as Head of Coaching & Youth Development. The position has been created in partnership with the FAW with a renewed focus on the development of our young talent. Everyone at the club wishes Jayson the best of luck in his new role.

Jayson commented on his appointed - "I’m extremely proud and excited to be taking on the role of head of coaching and youth development at Druids.

I would like to start by thanking all the coaches and staff who have been working within our academy structure for a number of years and developed our academy into what is it today.

Their hard work has laid the foundations for which I am now able to grow and build upon. I would also like to thank Shaun for all of his hard work and pleased to say Shaun will be staying with the club in an administrative role, as well as head of phase for youth development age groups.

Over the past couple of weeks we have held successful trials throughout all age groups. I believe this shows that the environment that Druids have created can only be positive for players development.

Finally I would like to thank the Druids board members and the FAW, who I will be working closely with, for this opportunity."
