Druids exit the Welsh Cup.

Barry raced into this cup fixture with a early goal at Jenner Park, this did little to knock Druids confidence as they went on to dominate the first half of the tie with the majority of possession and the most clear chances. The equaliser came from a superb strike by Naim Arsan. HT 1-1

The Ancients will have been confident at the restart, this confidence was soon dashed following 2 early goals from Barry. Hood with a 50 year screamer which will no doubt find support for 'Goal of the month!' Druids seemed switched off and 3-1 down looked out of the game.

A penalty for a challenge on James Davies offered some hope, Matty Owen stepping up to the spot and finding the back of the net brought Druids right back into it. Pressure was applied throughout the rest of the half and equaliser seemed to be in Druids' grasp as the clock worked down.

Unfortunately it wasn't to be despite late chances, Barry will have breathed a sigh of relief when the whistle was finally blown, ending Druids cup run.

Barry have been drawn at home to Cambrian & Clydach in the Quarter Finals.

This professional performance against top of the league opposition will give Druids confidence ahead of today's fixture.
