Mudimu Shortlisted for 'Sports Person Of The Year' for Zimbabwe!

Yesterday it was announced that Alec Mudimu had been shortlisted for a converted 'Sports Person of the year' award in Zimbabwe.

Mudimu signed for Druids in the 17/18 season and has developed massively as a player.

The athletic midfielder's Welsh Premier League performances earned him international recognition with Zimbabwe, who he helped lead to COSAFA Cup glory in March.

Since then, Mudimu has featured in Zimbabwe's impressive 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifying, Sunday Chidzambwa's team leading Group G with two games remaining.

On his nomination for the award, which is part of an action packed evening in Coventry on December 22, Mudimu tweeted: "Amazing feeling to receive news on being nominated to be sports person of the year. Hope I can bring this one home. Thanks to everyone who's voted and everyone who will vote. Thank you."
