Huw shortlisted for Manager of the Season!
This morning the WPL announced its shortlist for 'Manager of the Season' - Making it on to the list for the second year running is our manager, Huw Griffiths. He was one of the favourites for the title last season after guiding Druids to 8th in their best ever top flight finish, but was pipped by then TNS manager Craig Harrison.
Far from being a flash in the pan, Huw has shown Druids to be a force in the league pushing on from last season and finishing 5th after many labelled them a relegation contender, far from happy with setting another all time league high for the club - Huw guided Druids to a play-off win which now take the Ancients into the Europa league.
Huw will be up against TNS manager Scott Ruscoe and Connahs Quay manager Andy Morrison, who won the WPL Title and Welsh Cup respectively this season. The field is strong and we will be hoping the outstanding season deliver by Huw Griffiths delivers him the title of Manager of the season.
